New Research Study for children/teens on meds due to ADHD/ADD

Actually this is about attention boosting drugs in kids who DON'T have ADD/ADHD, like to help study for a test.

I don't know how you comprehended it that way? It's about lack of studies behind adhd/add drugs given to children/teens too easily due to lack of study and don't really need it due to the fact their Dr. is prescribing loosely and not better examining their patient. The paper is solely meant to better inform parents due to unknown risks. They are not asking for people to turn their children into lab rats. There are laws in place for thatWink.

My opinion is neutral on the matter. Just found it interesting and thought I'd pass along.

Because that's what it's saying:

This growing trend, in which teens use study drugs before tests and parents request ADHD drugs for kids who dont meet the criteria for the disorder, has made headlines recently in the United States. The Academy has spent the past several years analyzing all of the available research and ethical issues to develop this official position paper.

AKA kids who don't need it because they don't fit the guidelines. Study drugs meaning kids take them to stay up all night and study. Not that there aren't enough studies.

This is popular in college. My ex was prescribed adderall and could sell it for ten dollars a pill.
