Babylon Dems back son of GOP ex-appellate judge for county court

Babylon Democrats have recommended that Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone name a son of former Republican state appellate judge John Copertino to fill a vacancy in Babylon district court.

Robert Stricoff, Babylon Democratic chairman, said the party recommended Carl Copertino, a Deer Park lawyer who now works for the MTA and formerly worked in the state attorney general?s office.
