Employment Solutions Manager - Manufacturing

Overview:

  • Create and build relationships with employers resulting in the hire of graduates of Aerospace, Aviation, and Advanced Manufacturing programs.
  • Coach, inform, and counsel students about employment opportunities available with regional industry employers and steps required to maximize their employability and preparedness.
  • Provide general leadership, coordination, and/or supervise support staff, navigators, and others collecting student success indicator data.
  • Create and implement a system to track new and incumbent worker success indicators, including three month and six month placement tracking and retention, wage progression, promotion, and career advancement.
  • Coordinate or provide information to CCE students interested in manufacturing careers, including in the areas of interviewing skills and techniques, letter writing, resume preparation, and use of district recruiting information.
You will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Services, Education, or a related field
  • Three years of experience in job placement, industry training, or higher education
  • Computer skills using MS Office software, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills, including report writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to create systems for tracking and reporting student completion, employment and retention
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining data bases
  • Demonstrated skills in self-initiative and follow through
  • Experience working with diverse populations, demonstrated cultural competency
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for regional travel
It's a plus if you have:
  • Manufacturing, trade and/or aerospace experience
  • Experience providing employment skills to job seekers
  • Experience with SMS systems
  • Experience with SKIES
  • Experience working with performance based contracts
  • Experience working with public agencies and/or education
This is a full time position with benefits. $55,000 to $65,000 annually.
